Our foremost goal is to keep you and your pets healthy throughout their lives. We will educate you regarding health maintenance and preventive measures that will help us achieve this goal. Pleae see our added sections under Helpful Information for the newest AVMA Health Prevention Guidelines for both cats and dogs. If your pet does become ill or injured, we will utilize the most modern diagnostic and therapeutic principles to assure its safe and rapid recovery. We want to help you enjoy a long and fulfilling relationship with your pet.
The Helix Pet Hospital is a full service pet care facility. Our regular hours are Monday to Friday 8:30-5, Saturday 8:30-3 plus availability by phone or email 24 hours a day. We work with an extensive array of specialists in all areas of veterinary medicine including dermatologists, neurologists, oncologists and radiologists. In addition to complete medical and surgical care with full in house digital radiograph equipment and comprehensive blood testing equipment, we provide boarding facilities, dental care, prescription medications and medicated baths and dips. We also offer and can suggest prescription diets, flea control products and other pet care supplies. As a public service we continue to offer free new pet exams from any of the official animal adoption agencies and a $6.00 rabies clinic on Wednesdays from 11:30 to 12:30. Half off exam fees for new puppies and kittens from pet stores and other litters as a way to get you off on the right foot with your new pet.
We understand that your busy schedule may not mesh with conventional appointment times. We offer appointments, drop-ins and wait or drop-offs where we shall call you as soon as we have thoroughly examined your pet to offer our recommendations. We have extended and flexible hours on Saturdays. In addition, you may email or leave a voice mail for additional information. These added electronic communications allow for any time contact even on holidays and other closures.
There is so much to know about keeping your pet healthy in every stage of its life. We will teach you what you need to know about all of your pet’s health care needs. We will answer these questions while keeping your pet’s needs and special circumstances in mind.
